What is the difference between AVLA and VLA?
Under the AVLA program, initially you pay 1/3 of the standard VLA price. At the end of the year, you may renew your AVLA software licenses at 1/3 of the standard VLA program prices, buy standard VLA licenses, or de-install the software. With the VLA program, you own the software licenses outright.
What is Maintenance?

Maintenance is upgrade insurance.
This means that upgrades commercially released by FileMaker during the Maintenance period are automatically licensed and sent to you at no additional charge.

What is the difference between ASLA and SLA?
Under the ASLA program, initially you pay 1/3 of the standard SLA price. At the end of the year, you may either renew your ASLA software licenses at 1/3 of the standard SLA program prices, or buy standard SLA licenses, or de-install the software. With the SLA program, you own the software licenses outright.
What are the benefits of volume licensing?
All four programs save you money off the standard individual license price, include one year of free upgrades and updates with the initial license purchase (renewable annually), and provide a single license key per product for simplified installation.

Can I buy upgrades in the FileMaker Licensing programs?
Both VLA and AVLA have discounted upgrade pricing. The SLA and ASLA programs do not have specific upgrade pricing because these programs already give heavily discounted pricing based on the number of employees or computers at your site, whichever is the lower.
Is Bento volume licensing available?
Bento volume licensing is available for purchases of 10 or more licenses. It’s not available on the online store, but please call us and we will assist you.

What is the minimum order quantity for VLA and AVLA?
The minimum order quantity is 5 licenses for your first purchase. If you already have a license contract, you may add any number of new licenses to it by providing your previous contract number.
What is a “site”?
A site is defined as a whole company, subsidiary, or standalone entity, which has 25 or more employees or computers, with a unique taxpayer ID or organization number (or equivalent).

I’m an existing licensing customer. Can I place orders for additional licenses?
Yes. As long as you give us your existing contract number, simply choose your program and follow the steps to buy licenses.
